   I am Lakshmi Shankarreddy , a fine artist from San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up in India and currently live in northern California.
    My parents, both doctors, encouraged me from my childhood to draw, paint and create.
   Having known my passion since  I  could say the word artist,  I spent  my  whole life working towards achieving that goal.
    I love to paint and enjoy reading, photography, cooking and gardening.  My art works have been exhibited in art shows in USA and India.
    My oil paintings  has a  distinctive contemporary touch with soft impressionist style. I am also  art educator, having taught art   workshops in USA and India.  I have  been conducting ‘Creating Art for a good cause ‘Art show fundraisers for nonprofit organizations.
 
  In my own words – “I am inspired constantly by beauty of nature and to make Art. Art is my passion and an essential part of my life. There has never been anything else I wanted to be or do.
 My muses are many - Kindness, Compassion, Nature, India, United States of America, Indian mythology, food, festivals, family and friends. I am delighted to share my art and inspiration with you. Thank you for visiting my blog’
